Junior Ranger Extraordinaire

Cameron is the Junior Park Ranger extreme. He has earned about 45 patches and badges in the past 25 months. Believe me, this has been no easy task! The park rangers don't give up these badges without completing the requirements, so having earned that many in a short period of times is truly extraordinary. But since there are about 390 parks to visit, he has a lot to get to. Over Memorial Day weekend, we visited five different parks, earning 5 more badges/patches. We went to Montezuma's Castle, The Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater Volcano, and the Petrified Forest. On Tues we visited Saguaro National Park, earning yet another badge. We also got the opportunity to see 14 javelinas who had come up next to the visitor's center to take their afternoon siesta. There were all sizes and they did everything from sleep, nurse, fight, make up, banish one from the group, dig a resting place, and potty a lot.
